Introduction

James Cameron is a Canadian film maker. He is very popular name for making epic and science friction films. Some of the films for which he is known are The Terminator (1984),  Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), True Lies (1994), Titanic (1997) and Avatar. 

Early life

James Cameron was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario. His father name is Philip Cameron, an electrical engineer and mother Shirley, an artist and nurse. He was the eldest child among his five siblings. He was enrolled to Sonora High School and then to Brea Olinda High School for his early education. He studied physics from Fullerton College. 

Career

James Cameron started his career in the year 1978. During 1978 to 1983 he was at his initial period of career. During this period he directed, wrote  and produce his first short film, Xenogenesis. He was art director for science friction film Battle beyond the stars. Nightmare about an invincible robot hit-man and inspiration from horror film Halloween motivated him to write the script of The Terminator. Gale Anne Hurd, founder of Pacific Western Productions agreed to buy the film on condition that James Cameron will direct the film. The film was a box office success and was engrossing film all over the world. James Cameron next film direction was Aliens which was the sequel to Alien. The film was hit and generating over $130 million worldwide. 

Then there was discussion of the next sequel of The Terminator and James produced the film. The film was a great success and broke many records. It earned earn over $300 million worldwide. The third sequel of the film The Terminator was sold to Kassar and James planned for his next film The Abyss. The star cast included starred Ed Harris, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Michael Biehn. The film was outstanding in reference to the visual effects. The film earned $90 million at the worldwide box office. 

Cameron and Schwarzenegger reunited for the third time for True Lies. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and Curtis won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for the said film. The most biggest film of James Cameron was Titanic. It was based on the ship RMS Titanic. It was one of the most expensive movie of that time. It was highest engrossing film and received many awards also. In the year 2000 James made his Television debut with Dark Angel. He co-created it with Charles H. Eglee. 

James Cameron's year from 2002 to 2010 was mostly devoted to documentaries. The list of documentaries he directed were Expedition: Bismarck, Ghosts of the Abyss, Aliens of the Deep and co created The Exodus Decoded.

After epic film Titanic, James Cameron thought to make Avatar and Alita: Battle Angel. He wanted to make Avatar in 3D effects so wanted the technology used in the same to improve. The film received $2.74 billion Worldwide and became highest engrossing film after Titanic. In 2011he was an executive producer for Sanctum. In 2017 he was in documentary Atlantis Rising where he explored existence of the city of Atlantis. The next film of James Alita: Battle Angel released in 2019. The film received positive response.

Personal life

James Cameron was not only popular for his films but was also for his married life. He was married five times. He married Sharon Williams in 1978 and got divorced in 1984. Then he married Gale Anne Hurd in 1985 and separated in 1989. Kathryn Bigelow was his wife from 1989 to 1991. He next married 

Linda Hamilton in 1997 and got divorced in  1999. ​He tied knot with Suzy Amis in the year 2000. The couple have 3 children.
