Introduction

Randeep Hooda is a popular model and a Bollywood star. He has acted in a large number of Hindi movies and has actively taken part in theatre performances. The five feet eleven inches tall actor has dark brown eyes and a well-developed muscular body. He has played diverse roles of all types in movies and become successful in Bollywood owing to his acting skills and strong performance and screen appearance. Randeep Hooda has received wide fame and accolades for his roles in Bollywood.

Early Life

Randeep Hooda was born in Daseya in Rohtak in Haryana, which is a tiny village in India. His parents are Ranbir Hooda and Asha Devi Hooda. His father is a doctor, and surgeon, and his mother is a social worker and politician from BJP. He has one elder sibling and one younger sibling. His sister Anjali Hooda Sangwan is elder to him and she is a medical doctor by profession. The younger brother of Randeep Hooda is Sandeep Hooda, who works in Singapore in the IT industry as a software engineer. The early days of Randeep Hooda when he was a child were lonely as his father and mother lived in the Middle East and had to travel extensively for work. Thus, he was alone and he lived with his grandmother. 

Randeep Hooda studied in a boarding school in Haryana named Motilal Nehru School of Sports or MNSS. During his stay in this school, he took part in swimming along with some other water sports activities. He is a winner of national-level prizes in this. During his later years, Randeep Hooda started participating in theatre productions held in his school. He also directed one of the plays. Later, he joined the Delhi Public School, a prestigious and well-known institution in R.K Puram in New Delhi. After finishing his schooling, Randeep Hooda joined graduation in the field of marketing from a college in Melbourne in Australia. 

He did his post-graduation in business management. Randeep Hooda is an MBA in marketing and Human Resource Management. He took up minor jobs like a waiter in a restaurant and a driver during this time. Then he came back to India in 2000 and worked for some time in an airline. This was the time when Randeep Hooda took up some modeling assignments and acted in theatre performances. Mira Nair, a well-known Bollywood director offered a role in a Hindi movie to Randeep Hooda.

Acting career

Randeep Hooda started his acting career in Bollywood with Monsoon Wedding, which is a famous and successful movie by the Indian director Mira Nair. Randeep Hooda was the main character in the movie D, which was made by Ram Gopal Verma. Critics and the public gave a positive response to this film and his acting was appreciated in it. In 2010, Randeep Hooda played the role of a cop in the movie Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, in which his co-stars were Ajay Devgan and Kangana Ranaut. 

In 2016, Randeep Hooda played the lead role in the movie Sarabjit based on the character of Sarabjit Singh, who was imprisoned in Pakistan for a long time. The year 2016 saw the release of the movie Sultan, in which Randeep Hooda was given the role of Sultans coach. In this movie, he co-starred with Salman Khan. One of his blockbuster movies was displayed in 2018 in which he acted with Tiger Shroff as the other actor. Thus, the career of Randeep Hooda includes some of the best performances and acting roles for which he is appreciated and applauded by fans.

Filmography

Randeep Hooda's first movie Monsoon Wedding was successful and received well by critics and fans alike. The movie was a commercial success and a hit of that time. In this movie, Randeep Hooda played the role of an NRI living in Australia. His performance in the movie D on Dawood Ibrahim got positive reviews. He received the Favorite and Best Actor in Supporting Role for the movie Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai in 2010 and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster in 2012. He got the Best Actor award by Stardust in 2013 and 2014. His performance in the movie Highway bestowed the Best Actor award on him in 2015. Randeep Hooda also played a negative role in Main Aur Charles, for which he received an award by Stardust in 2015.
