The marvelous Ranbir Kapoor is the son of the known actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh and is the grandson of Raj Kapoor, who is also known to be a great actor and director of his time. Ranbir Kapoor has gotten himself so much success with his work that he is amongst the highest paid actors of Bollywood and had also made his way into celebrity 100 list of Forbes India in the year 2012.

Early Life

Ranbir Kapoor is named after his grandfather Raj Kapoor and is also the first educated actor in the family. Ranbir Kapoor was born in Mumbai and the known actresses Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are his cousins. He got his education from Bombay Scottish School based in Mahim. He wasn’t a great student and didn’t do really well in academics. However, he used to be a good football player. Ranbir Kapoor had completed his pre-university education from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics and later shifted to New York to join the School of Visual Arts to learn filmmaking at the same time he also pursued acting at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. In school, he was also a part of two short films. He had always been willing to be an actor and pursue his career in Bollywood. Kapoor has also worked as an assistant director for the film “Aa Ab Laut Chalen” to his father. The actor is a diehard foodie and is always up to enrich his taste buds.

Acting career

Ranbir Kapoor, the aspiring actor then who worked as an Assistant Director to his Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the movie Black back in 2005 had got an offer to work in Bhansali’s tragic romance movie Saawariya in the year 2007 starring him, Sonam Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee. Ranbir Kapoor made an appearance in three movies in the year 2009. “Wake Up Sid” was one of the best projects of the star where he was cast opposite Konkona Sen who is also a great actor. The film was a great success and youngsters could totally relate to it. After this, the actor had a number of movies signed one after the other and he was magical and spectacular in all the movies. Those movies also helped him get nominated for the Filmfare Best Actor Award and awarded him Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor in the same year. From being a Rockstar to a mentally retarded man, he had made his work speak for him. The actor also does really well in playing a notorious guy because of his charming looks where he flirts with many women and in the end falls in love with one.

Filmography

Ranbir Kapoor began his career as an Assistant Director in the year 1999. Though his debut movie Saawariya was a commercial failure, the actor won Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Besides this, he also emerged as a great dancer dancing with the towel on in the song “Jabse Tere Naina”. The music of the movie got him as well as the movie quite a lot of fame.  The actor has also seen a number of failures in his acting career but this never disappointed his enthusiasm for his work. There cannot be any questions about his very recent project “Sanju”, where the actor has rekindled his spark and with such marvelous acting he left everyone jaw-dropped. Jazz and Ballet are the two forms that Ranbir Kapoor is well-versed with. In his acting career, he had been in love with his co-actors. First, he fell for Deepika Padukone, later he was known to be having an affair with Katrina Kaif.
