The Man Who Knew Infinity Movie Review:

Dev Patel (Srinivasa Ramanujan in this movie) is a smart mathematical genius that has the ability to understand the complex ideas. While in India, he observes that it will be difficult and sometimes almost impossible for him to share his discoveries to the scientific world in the year 1914, so he decided to move on to the Cambridge University.

At Cambridge the British professor G.H. hardy helps him a lot with his discoveries and provides him a way to publish his theories. Despite the strong opposition from both the peers of G.H hardy & Srinivasa, who have some racist beliefs & strong opposition for Ramanujan’s contributions, movie brilliant shows their journey on this path.

In the movie the man who knew infinity, Ramanujan is a self-taught mathematician & eventually he was recognized as the fellow of one of the prestigious royal society of UK’s highest honours. The main flaw in this movie is the slow execution of unusual life that may possibly deliver interesting content to the audience.

When it is very difficult to make mathematics visually compelling, the director tried to make it convenient in terms of racist attack, discrimination of Cambridge elite, and unpleasant reaction to the local food, but all this will not end up like what it should be.

At final call, the triumph of sorts is nothing but assured & thanks to the brilliant acting by Irons & Patel, audiences may somehow interact with this math content. But at the same time you cannot hide the fact that movie ‘man who knew infinity’ is missing something in terms of essential elements in this brilliant story equation.
