With 12 flop movies at the beginning, the actor journey did not had a good start.

The first blockbuster and Amitabh never looked back

After a long struggle, the first movie that recorded a big hit was Zanjeer and with this movie he broke every stereotype of actors in the industry. This movie marked a new beginning of the actor. It was a crime thriller movie that had a powerful role of AB. He evolved as an ‘Angry Young Man’ from this movie and his performance was appreciated greatly by the audiences. With this success, not only his career but his personal life got a new direction and he was married to actress Jaya Bhaduri.

From serious role to an angry young man tag and comic roles

In the beginning of his career, he was also playing supporting actor roles. It was "Anand" (1971) that had Rajesh Khanna in the leading role, still the work of this actor received huge appreciation. Chupke Chupke, Abhimaan, Namak Haraam were some of that period great movies of Big B. With Zanjeer, he defined as an angry young man and the movies in which this image was continued were Trishul, Don, Deewar, Sholay, Kaala Patthar, Dostana, Shakti and Shaan. With these movies, his stardom had a great hike and till then he was a well established one in the Bollywood industry. He also proved his talent in comic movies and Parvarish, Suhaag, Amar Akbar Anthony, Naseeb, Mr. Natwarlal, Silsila, Satte Pe Satta, Besharam, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar and Namak Halaal are his most entertaining and comic movies list.

Recovery after the accident on the 'Coolie' set: Amitabh Bachchan

While shooting for the movie, he meets with an accident, the experience was so bad that even the family lost the hope of his complete recovery but with so many players and wishes of his fans, he recovered and was back to the shoot. The movie was a blockbuster of that time. Meanwhile, he also won his first National award in the year 1990 for the movie Agneepath.

The second inning of the actor started with some of the great movies that includes Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kaante, Baghban, Bunty Aur Babli, Paa, Bol Bachchan, Piku, Pink, 102 Not Out and Badla. For Black, Paa and Piku he received the National awards. Still today also the actor is unstoppable and at this age also he is working with the new age actors and inspiring them.
