Margot Robbie Producing Live-Action Film Inspired by Popular Board Game!

Hollywood has produced a handful of live-action movies based on video games, many of which have received immense praise from audiences and turned out to be highly successful. Popular board games, such as Clue and Battleship, have also been adapted into live-action films. Now, Hollywood is set to bring more adaptations to the big screen. Fans of board games tend to show interest in these movies as well. Additionally, various types of games beyond board games have been transformed into films that fans have embraced, such as Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which was written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

Now, it is reported by Deadline that Daley and Goldstein will join hands with Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara and their award-winning production company LuckyChap to make a live-action Monopoly film. Monopoly is regarded as the most iconic and respected board game. Since 1935, it has maintained a strong presence for families and game lovers.

After the news came out, LuckyChap spoke about the movie to address the excitement of the fans. It was said that “Monopoly is a top property – pun fully intended. Like all of the best IP, this game has continued for generations and has a worldwide presence. It is exciting that this game will be brought to life alongside the wonderful teams involved at Lionsgate and Hasbro.”

Robbie and LuckyChap were the producers of the mega-popular Barbie movie, as well as Saltburn. As per Deadline, Lionsgate and Hasbro had a deal with LuckyChap to produce the Monopoly movie. Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Adam Fogelson appreciated LuckyChap, stating that they could never think of a better production team for this special brand than LuckyChap. Like other live movies, hope this will also receive a huge response from the audience.
