Jennifer Lawrence is a popular American actress and celebrity. She was included in Times’ 100 most influential people in the world list (2013) and also in the Forbes Celebrity 100 list from 2013 to 2016. She is a very talented actress and due to her outstanding acting performances in films, she has won many awards such as Academy Award for Best Actress, BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. She is the founder of the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation, which works for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Special Olympics.

Early Life

Jennifer Lawrence was born to Gary and Karen in Indian Hills, Kentucky. She got her education from the Kammerer Middle School in Louisville. At an early age, she was very fond of horseback riding. When she was on vacation in New York City, she was spotted by a talent scout, who works for an audition for talent agents. Her mother was a support system for her and she was always there supporting her in modeling. Later Jennifer Lawrence dropped her school and pursued her acting career.

Acting Career

At the beginning of her acting career, Jennifer Lawrence got roles in several television shows like Monk (2006) and Medium (2007). Her debut film Garden Party was released in 2008 in which she played the role of a troubled teenager. In the same year, she was seen in Lori Petty's drama The Poker House. For this film, she won an Outstanding Performance Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

During The year 2011–2013, she got worldwide recognition. The first film released in 2011 was Like Crazy. Jennifer Lawrence’s acting career got a big turn with Matthew Vaughn's superhero film X-Men: First Class (2011). It became one of the top-grossing films. Then in 2012, The Hunger Games was released which also became a big commercial success. In the coming year 2014, she became a well-established actress. Her film Serena was released in 2014 in which she portrayed the role of Serena Pemberton. 

She then played the role of Mystique in X-Men: Days of Future Past which was a big success at the box office. Jennifer Lawrence did a biopic called Joy in the year 2015. She won her third Golden Globe for the film. In 2016, the next series of X-Men was released called X-Men: Apocalypse. The film received mixed reviews. For the film mother! Which was released in 2017, and she prepared a lot. Jennifer Lawrence did a thriller film called Red Sparrow, for which she learned to speak Russian accent. She made her last appearance as Mystique, in the superhero film Dark Phoenix which did not work at the box office. After 2019, she reduced her workload and signed a few films. In 2021, she did the film Don't Look Up. Her next film was No Hard Feelings which was a comedy film.

Other ventures

Jennifer Lawrence is a feminist and has promoted body positivity among women. She has taken sensitive topics like the gender pay gap in Hollywood in her easy for Lenny Letter. She is a big supporter of many charitable organizations like the World Food Programme, Feeding America, and the Thirst Project. She is also contributing to organizations such as RepresentUs, which pass anti-corruption laws in the United States. She was also associated with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2011.

Personal life

Before marrying Cooke Maroney, she dated Nicholas Hoult and Darren Aronofsky. In 2022, she gave birth to a son. Jennifer Lawrence was also a victim of e 2014 celebrity nude photo leak. Her several nude pictures were leaked. She strongly came against it and called it a sex crime.
