Early life
Her mother was a homemaker. She was raised in Scottsdale only. Apart from having her paternal grandfather from a Swedish family, Emma has English, Scottish, Irish and German ancestry. She decided to become an actor at the age of 4. She was homeschooled and sent for acting lessons by her parents.
Career
Stone did her acting debut with the wind in the willows at the age of eleven. Further, she successfully auditioned for Nickelodeon's All that. She did her television debut with VH1, a talent competition while her feature film debut is in 2007 with Greg Mottola’s comedy Superbad. Later, in 2008, she was seen in the comedy movie The Rocker. She had performed in teen comedy, romantic comedy, horror comedy, and sex comedy.

Stone is not much interested in talking about her personal life to the media. She expressed her interest in her profession and said Marion Cotillard and Diane Keaton as her inspiration. She loves her family and praises the family members and people around her. She had been reported to be in a relationship with Andrew Garfield, her co-star, and with whom she spread awareness of causes, especially autism. Both of them denied speaking to the media about their relationship. The news of their breakup came in 2015.
In 2017, the stone began a relationship with Dave McCary, a comedian, and writer. She married Dave in January 2021 and the couple is blessed with a daughter Louise.
