Early life:
Disha Patani was born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and belongs to the Rajput community. Her father Jagdish Singh Patani is a police officer and her mother is a health inspector. Her elder sister Khushboo Patani is a captain in the Indian Army and she has a younger brother, Suryansh Patani. During her childhood, she aspired to be an Air force Pilot. After completing her schooling, Disha went to Amity University, Lucknow for pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. While pursuing her first year of degree she started receiving offers for modeling. Disha then dropped out of the second year of college and participated in the 2013 Femina Miss India Indore and was declared first runner-up.
Career:
Disha Patani started her career as a model and did TV commercials and modeling. She got recognition after her TV commercial for Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk. Patani debuted with a Telugu film Loafer opposite Varun Tej, the movie performed poorly at the box office. Disha appeared in a music video named Befikra along with Tiger Shroff. In 2016, Disha got her commercial break with Neeraj Pandey’s M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, in which she played the role of Priyanka Jha, Ex-girlfriend of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and the movie was a massive hit and she rose to fame with her performance. Disha has featured in an Indo-Chinese movie Kung Fu Yoga starring Jackie Chan along with Sonu Sood. She acted in Baaghi 2 along with Tiger Shroff, Salman Khan starring Bharat, and Malang opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. She appeared in a song in the movie Baaghi 3, a sequel of Baaghi 2.
