Scam 1992

The web series Scam 1992 will take the scenario of the early 90's in Bombay that was not much developed in terms of stock market dealings. The Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story is all about the rise and fall of one of the game-changer of the stock market, Harshad Mehta. It was Sucheta Dalal, the financial journalist to expose him as the man behind India's biggest financial scam in the stock market which brought so many changes afterwards in the form of great reforms. It shook the complete country during that time.

The main role is played by Pratik Gandhi (Harshad Mehta) and the creator of the series is Hansal Mehta. This time Hansal has taken away the show as Pratik was a new face, still with the story and his performance, the series marked its presence in the audience hearts. Pratik Gandhi did justice with the character completely. Shreya also wowed the audience. The rest of the supporting actors such as Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, Nikhil Dwivedi, Rajat Kapoor and Shadaab Khan were all brilliant.

The journey of a simple middle-class family man is depicted beautifully. He had big dreams and he raised himself from zero to being the highest Indian taxpayer. The series has no twist and turns, just a real-life story and still, it has done a great job. It has also shown that how people can take advantage of loopholes in the Indian Banking system to spin a scam. 

The most important thing is about people having business in their blood. The risk factor is said to be “Risk hai to ishq hai” in order to achieve big.  The dialogue used in some regional language can blow away anyone. Many of the sets have been recreated such as The Times of India office, SBI headquarters in a very good way.
