Bell Bottom

An action and drama genre movie Bell Bottom has Akshay Kumar as the lead character on the floor. The story revolves around a real incident where a plane is hijacked and a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent took the charge to save the 210 hostages of the plane. He does the work under a cover name called Bellbottom. Akshay Kumar is playing the role of Anshul Malhotra who is an undercover agent and Vaani Kapoor as Radhika Kapoor who is his wife. Huma Qureshi appears as Adeela Rehman. 

Like Akshay’s any other film, he looks great in the movie and his entry is done marvelously like any other action movie. The way he has carried the role is outstanding and his personality completely fits in the role of an undercover agent. His entry in the movie is great as any other movie. Vaani as his wife has supported the main lead role. This movie has given a special mention to Lara Dutta as the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandi and she is unrecognizable in the said role. 

Huma Qureshi has also done a great job. The first half of the movie goes slow and there are occurrences of so many incidents that are hard to manage. Aseem Arora and Parveez Shaikh have taken a great story from the history that should be known to the people. The screenplay is not as effective as it would have been in any action and drama movie. Many flashback stories keep the audience engaged. So many twists and turns take the movie on the slow side. The direction of Ranjit M Tewari is good. Overall it can be said that at some point the movie slips but the second part with a good climax wins the heart of the audience.
