Airlift Movie Review:

Airlift, a movie by Raja Menon is based on a true story. The movie is all about the evacuation of Indian civilians and all the suffering and struggle being faced by them during Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. This evacuation turned out to be the largest civil evacuation and was even recorded in the Guinness Book of world record. In the movie, the lead character of Ranjit Katyal (played by Akshay Kumar) who businessman, helps the Indian government to collaborate with Air India for the evacuation of around 170000 Indians from Kuwait.

Akshay's performance has been terrific and surely makes attempt to reach levels of perfection apart from his some usual masala movies. Also, the co-star Nimrat Kaur, who played the role of Amrita Katyal (Ranjit's wife) worked phenomenal with her expressions. The pairing of both the actors was quite a fresh and was liked by the audience. In the movie, we can see many characters that marked their presence with their amazing work.

The character of Ibrahim (played by Purab Kohli), who helped Ranjit with everything for the evacuation mission, and the angle of a cute love story between Ibrahim and Tasreem (played by Feryna Wazheir) was very interesting.

The acting of Inaamul Haq as an Iraqi war general is being amazing. Both the Art direction and cinematography is fascinating. The dialogues of the movie are well written and perfectly suited.

The songs in the movie are also very good with amazing music and some Arabic tunes. The songs "Soch Na Sake" and "Dil Cheez Tujhe Dedi" were liked the most. Not being some of regular romantic drama movie, this patriotic movie with a good storyline and acting is worth a watch.
