A great and versatile actor Sir Ian Holm who was very famous with the movie “The Lord of the Rings” playing a role of Bilbo Baggins passed away at the age of 88 on Friday at London. He was designated as the most electric and fine actor who was also Laurence Olivier Award-winner. People with heavy heart gave a farewell to him. He was regarded as one of the genius, dramatic actor and was owner of great comic timing. His great career list shows that he was a legend one.

On this loss, many people including fans and co-stars mentioned that he was more than just an actor and has an incredible journey. He was one of the best actors they have worked with. 

It was reported that he died peacefully in the hospital and his family was with him. He has left behind his wife, children and grandchildren. In the year 1981, for his role in the film Chariots of fire, as Sam Mussabini, he was nominated for an Oscar in the category of best actor in a supporting role. He also won the first BAFTA Film Award as the best-supporting Actor for The Bofors Gun in the year 1968.
