Request to Online steaming players to be free in winters to fight COVID-19.
Holidays are entering this winter and there are more chances of gathering people all around the world, which may be a big reason for spreading of COVID-19. Staying inside the home shall be the only solution to fight with this pandemic and therefore one of the senators has given a good suggestion that may force the people to live inside and enjoy entertainment with families.
He has written to the online streaming platforms Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Hulu and HBO to offer their services free to the non-subscribers this winter. The proposal was given on Monday and he explained further that this year the things are different and everyone is staying apart, these companies have great opportunities to force the Americans to stay inside their homes. People will stay inside and watch it instead of travelling or eating that may cause people to gather at a place.
He further mentioned appreciating the streaming platforms that they have been a ‘safe at home tool’ in this pandemic and it will be great to hear some of the initiatives taken from these platforms for the society.
No doubt this year people have switched maximum to the OTT platforms to keep them safe from moving out with entertainment in just at their fingertips. They have really helped the people to spend their time streaming on the contents for their entertainment. With them it has been easy to survive in this pandemic. Now, when winter has entered, there are more chances of getting infected. So, it is necessary to find ways to make people engaged while staying at home and follow the CDC’s guidelines and he streaming players like Netflix or Disney+ might help to achieve this.
