Polish city names square after Shri Harivansh Rai Bachchan

Recently, The City Council of Wroclaw located on Poland, has decided to name a square as Harivansh Rai Bachchan square as a tribute to the famous late poet who is none other than the father of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. On social media platform Instagram, he further shared this proud news to his fans.
On a thrilling note famous Bollywood actor Amitabh said: “There could not have been a more promising and apt blessing moment for me on this Dussehra".
It is an extremely proud moment of the entire family as well as for Indian community living in Wroclaw & India as he expressed his feelings about that announcement. He shared an amazing picture of a signboard of the square that was embossed with Amitabh Bachchan’s father’s name.
Earlier on this year during a July month, some of the students of the University of Wroclaw delivered homage to the great Hindi poet by describing Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s popular poem 'Madhushala'.
Also at the time of 2019, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan visited the country Poland where his father Harivansh Rai was honoured in the oldest churches of the Poland.
At that time, he wrote “I am at one of the oldest Churches of Europe, in the beautiful country of Poland, a prayer for Babuji. So touched & such an emotional moment, his beautiful soul must be receiving peace & love”. He further thanked Bishop & the people of Poland for such a kind honour.
Shri Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a great poet of India and started Nayi Kavita literary movement in earlier 20th century and also received prestigious ‘Padma Bhushan’ award in the year 1976 for his outstanding contribution to the Hindi literature. He died in 2003.
