Not in Theatres, but the blockbuster Mulan is all set to release online on Disney plus on Sept. 4
After so much delay, the much-awaited Mulan is ready for release with just $30 in US.
The much-awaited live action movie Mulan is all set for release this September after long time delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The movie was earlier scheduled to release during the month of March, but then it was delayed many times due to present pandemic conditions. The movie will be in the air through Disney Plus service on 4th September but the change is that this will not be included as a part of Standard subscription; the audience will have to pay $30 additional in US apart from the regular subscription fees and will be approx the same in the international market. The customers of Disney can enjoy the movie till their subscription is active.
Releasing "Mulan" on Disney+ has become a big announcement in Hollywood and it is to be seen that how this announcement will turn up the things for the theaters. Disney+ being Disney's new streaming service has more than 60 million subscribers till now and Disney CEO Chapek says that it will be great to look out how the sales of the movies in the platform will bring out for them and yes the movie "Mulan" can be said to be an experimental in this regard. It was also announced that where Disney Plus is not in operation, the movie will release theatrically there on the same date on Sept. 4 if the cinemas are open there.
Chapek also said that this is an opportunity to bring this big and blockbuster movie at this platform to such a huge number of audiences worldwide who are now unable to enjoy the movies in theaters. This will also enhance the value of the Disney Plus.
