A new initiative of Netflix to entertain the audience- To include new seven UK series
Netflix announces to add seven series in U.K.
Netflix is one of the largest online streaming platform and being the first preference among the audience for its most entraining series all over the world. Now the entertainment will be one step ahead as Netflix has recently announced that seven new scripted series will be forming a part of it. The objective behind this initiative is just an effort to invest in UK-based productions. Seven new original scripted series will be produced in the UK that will include love stories, horror, science fiction and physical comedy.
The new seven TV projects that have been ordered by the streaming services from its U.K. branch include many big names like Rowan Atkinson one who played as Mr Bean and Sam Mendes. Talking about the Netflix such step, Netflix’s U.K. vice president Anne Mensah of original shows said that it will give an opportunity to the talent and give the shows to have a great impact all over the globe on large scale. She also said that setting up of a team that will be entirely based in the U.K was to have a better connection with the programme-makers that are here. This will further provide space to the writers, directors, producers and actors to feel local and friendly.
The new shows that will be included are:
Baby Reindeer (8 x 30′): The writer is Richard Gadd. He has written Sex education episodes. Richard is an actor, performer and award-winning writer.
Cuckoo Song w/t (6 x 60): Sarah Dollard, Andrea Gibb and Corinna Faith are the writers. The production companies are Catalyst Global Media, Doghouse Pictures. The plot is about two sisters of which one is human and the other is monster.
Half Bad (8 x 60): Joe Barton is the writer of the same and it is inspired from the Half Bad trilogy of books by Sally Green.
Lockwood & Co (8 x 60): Joe Cornish is the lead Director/Writer. The Production Company is Complete Fiction. The series is based on supernatural action-adventure.
Man vs Bee (10 x 10): The creators of the series are Rowan Atkinson and Will Davies. Mr Bean will be seen in a new comedy role in this.
While the other series included are The Red Zone (6 x 30) and The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle (7 x 60).
