Kym Marsh is set to go head-to-head with ITV's Lorraine
She joins forces with Gethin Jones to host BBC rival Morning Live.
Both Kym Marsh & Gethin Jones are ready to have a blast head-to-head with ITV’s Lorraine Kelly. BBC1 is trying to emulate the success of rivalry morning show.
The former Corrie star Kym along with the BBC’s regular host Gethin will come on front in morning with live telecast from next coming month. The show will be a mix of topical & expert opinion content purely for entertaining purpose.
The timing of the this show will be from 9.15 AM for 45 minutes and this time slow the aim is to take direct rivalry with the another show of ITV that site between the timing of “Good Morning Britain” (Ends at 9 am) & ‘This Morning’ (starts at 10 am).
The show will have a total of 40 episodes with expectations to extend it for 2021. It is taking viewers directly up for the Christmas.
Rather than having a day time strategy of launching a show in the past couple of years, BBC has now decided to go for the morning show on ITV with a live studio talk. Many are hoping that it will be better than Channel 4’s foray as the same has seen struggling to get the desired popularity in lunchtime.
Gethin, a 42-year-old said the morning shows are the great way to start your day and he is thrilled to land into the territory of presenting a morning show.
The morning live, is typically a brainchild of BBC daytime owner Carla-Maria Lawson. She added in conversation that “It’s been a challenging time for all and the morning live is just a response to what the viewers have told BBC about what life is offering over the lockdown.
Show is all about connecting with the real-life scenario & offering the trustworthy advice and entertainment both.
