Kamal Haasan plans to wrap up ‘Sabaash Naidu' soon
After a series of incidents and other commitments, Kamal Haasan has resumed work on 'Sabaash Naidu'
Kollywood’s diva Kamal Haasan is coming with an upcoming Indian spy comedy adventure film ‘Sabaash Naidu’ written, co-produced and directed by himself. The movie was basically to be directed by T.K. Rajeev Kumar and is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Raaj Kamal Films. A source close to Haasan told "Kamal sir plans to wrap up ‘Sabaash Naidu’ and only then will he start shooting for 'Indian 2'. He plans to resume work on Sabaash Naidu' from this month as he is relieved of Bigg Boss' commitment.”
Again in a recent interview, Kamal Haasan has confirmed that he will be wrapping up his long pending film ‘Sabaash Naidu’ before the shoot of Indian 2. However Kamal announced Sabaash Naidu in 2016 and he even started shooting for the film in the USA for a few days with her daughter Shruti Haasan, but it is still in the pipeline for a very long time. There were a series of incidents which lead the movie’s delay.
Initially, the shoot of the film was put on hold in June 2016 after the original director T. K. Rajeev Kumar was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. After which Kamal Haasan took over as the director. The film's editor James Joseph also withdrew from the project just two days after Rajeev Kumar's exit. After these two back to back incidents the shoot of ‘Sabaash Naidu’ came to a standstill after the male lead actor suffered a fall from the stairs of his office and fractured his leg. But now the news is coming that as soon as he wraps up Bigg Boss 2, Kamal is expected to resume the shoot of Sabaash Naidu.
Actor-politician Kamal Haasan’s upcoming undertaking ‘Sabaash Naidu’ a spin off of one of the characters which he played in Dasavatharam (2008). In the film Kamal plays a role of a comic RAW agent in the film, who goes to the USA to save his daughter (played by Shruti Haasan). He will reprise the role of Balram Naidu This is the first time that Father-Daughter duo Kamal Haasan and his daughter Shruti Hasaan are acting together in a film. The star cast also includes Ramya Krishnan, Brahmanandam and Saurabh Shukla.
