Janhvi Kapoor: I Want To Make Audience Happy Through My Work

Janhvi Kapoor’s recent debut and much talked about release Dhadak is a romantic drama film directed by Shashank Khaitan, produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios and stars Ishaan Khatter in lead roles. Janhvi feels that more than the pressure to finish it, it is her responsibility as an actor to do justice to her character and the film. Janhvi Kapoor talked about how she felt about getting her first project, she confessed, “It was so exciting that I could not sleep all night, not even for a second, and it just felt right. She added “the first scene I got, it was a simple scene with a few lines, and from the moment I felt everything was in the right place."

When asked if she had any pressure in maintaining the 'Kapoor legacy',the quality that Anil Kapoor, Sridevi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Harshvadhan Kapoor have till now maintained, Janhvi said, Yeah she had some kind of pressure but she doesn't want to give much attention to it. The kind of love my family has received over the years, we all are very thankful to that”. Janhvi commits "I want to make the audience happy through my work because they have given so much love to our family”. She says “I want to earn the same amount of love and appreciation from audience for myself but I know that would not be easy as I need to work hard for that”. It is the love of audience which makes an actor worth it.

I want to entertain them in return. Being asked about what she feels upon acting, Janhvi Kapoor continues it’s kind of like you are in an arena, on a podium. You are just standing there, watching people point fingers, judge and dissect you, but you have to keep a smile on your face and pretend to enjoy it the whole time. But getting the opportunity is more than I could have ever asked for, so you can put me on any podium in the world and I’ll take it. I can only hope to win people over with my work.
