Ishaan Khatter in the next film of Ronnie Screwvala & Siddharth Roy Kapur as Brigadier Mehta
Pippa, an action and 1971 war-based movie to be headed by Raja Krishna Menon.
The young actor Ishaan Khatter will be in lead role in the next upcoming movie of Ronnie Screwvala & Siddharth Roy Kapur. The plot of the movie is about war against Pakistan in the year 1971, by which the country Bangladesh came into existence. Ishaan Khatter will step into the shoes of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta who fought from the eastern front during the war along with his siblings.
The story is from the book The Burning Chaffees that is written by none other than the Brigadier himself. The movie unique name has been taken from Russian war tank called PT-76 that was usually called as Pippa that floats smoothly on the water.
Tanmay Mohan, Ravinder Randhawa and Raja Krishna Menon are the co-writers of the movie. Raja Krishna Menon has taken the direction of movie. Recently Ishaan took his social media account to share the news of his upcoming movie and says that to celebrate the spirit of independence, the crew is teaming up for a visual celebration of love, humanity and India in their upcoming movie Pippa. He said it’s a great honour for him to step into the shoes of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. Producer of movie Ronnie made announcement of the movie and tweeted that they are ready with next true story of India’s pride, bravery and victory in 1971 India-Pak war.
Ronnie is one of them who brought the real story behind many war and battle through his magnificent movies. URI: the surgical strike was another movie in the same subject that hit the box office. He says that the story behind the 45th Squadron headed Brigadier Mehta need to be told to this generation.
