The Filmmaker Satish Kaushik going down memory lane talks about his first day in city of dreams - Mumbai
Celebrating 41 years in Mumbai, Satish Kaushik recalls his first day; Shekhar Kapur joins him.
The date, 10th August is very special to the famous actor and film maker Satish Kaushik as he landed the dream city for the first time with a dream to become an actor here. He took his social media account to share his memories with a throwback picture where he is spotted at railway station with a suitcase. He wrote that 10th august 1979 morning was his first day in Mumbai city. This city gave him so much from his family, friends, work, struggle, success, failure and courage to live a happy life.
Talking about his journey he says that it was the year 1981, when he faced the camera for the first time. His first project in his acting career was film Chakra and the star casts were Naseeruddin Siddiqui and Smita Patil. He had a very small role in the movie and he played a role of local rowdy boy. He impressed Rajkumar Santoshi with his acting. He moved ahead and made his debut as a director with movie Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja in the year 1993.
On throwback memories of director his friend Shekhar Kapur shared an instance from the making of movie Massom in the year 1983. In Masoom Satish Kaushik was assisting Shekhar Kapur. Looking into his past film career, he was famous with Masoom, Jaane Bhi do Yaaro and mandi. With his comic roles in movies like Mr India, Hadh Kar Di Aapne, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi and Saajan Chale Sasural, he has entertained the audiences to great extent. His some of recent movies were Bharat, Judgmental hai kya and many others.
