Kajal’s birthplace is in Mumbai. Her parents are Vinay Aggarwal and Suman Aggarwal. She has no Bollywood connection as his father has a textile business and her mother is a confectioner and also a business manager of Kajal. She has a sister Nisha Aggarwal, who is also an actress in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema and married to Karan Valecha. She started her schooling at St. Anne’s High School and completed her pre-university education at Jai Hind College. She holds a graduation degree in mass media with a specialisation in marketing and advertising from Kishinchand Chellaram College.
Personal life
Kajal announced her marriage on 6th October 2020 to Gautam Kitchlu, who is an entrepreneur. On 30th October 2020, they got married in a small private ceremony with the members of the couple’s immediate families in her hometown of Mumbai.
Filmography
Kajal Aggarwal started her acting career with a minute role in the film Kyun! Ho Gaya Na which was a box failure. After the failure of this film, he signed Tamil film Bommalattam, which was her first Tamil film but it got delayed. In the year, 2007 she debuted in Telugu cinema with Lakshmi Kalyanam as a lead actress but it was also a failure for her. In the same year, her other Telugu film Chandamama became her first success. Her first Tamil release Pazhani also was a success. S.S Rajamouli’s Telugu film Magadheera gave a turning point in her career and he earned Filmfare Award for Best Actress-Telugu nomination. Kajal’s first release in the year 2010 was Darling, a romantic comedy movie and this was a commercial success at the box office. She was further into the Filmfare nomination for best actress in Telugu. Her other two releases in the same year- the Tamil thriller Naan Mahaan Alla and another romantic comedy Brindavanam were also successful and the latter made her win the Cinema Award for Best Actress.
Again nominated for Best Actress in Telugu film, Mr Perfect in the year 2011. In the same year, she returned to Hindi cinema with Singham, which was a remake of the Tamil film Singam. Again she received a Filmfare award for Best Female Debut nomination. This was the movie with which she gained popularity in the Bollywood Industry. Kajal’s performance in AR Murugadoss’s Thupakki in the year 2012 won her the Cinema Award for Best Tamil Actress, and Govindudu Andarivadele in the year 2014 earned her a fourth Filmfare nomination for Best Telugu Actress. She is making a television debut in 2021 with a series named Live Telecast. Her upcoming movies are Indian 2, Acharya, Mosagallu, and Mumbai Saga. Kajal holds an interest in singing and sung a song in Kannada language in the year 2016 for the film Chakravyuha.
