Biopic of Indian Chess Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand to be directed by Aanand L Rai

Bollywood will be at the forefront to portray the life of some of the great leaders, players and other famous personalities. After Sachin Tendulkar, M.S Dhoni, Kapil dev and many more, this time it’s the grandmaster Viswanathan Anand on which the biopic will be seen. The proposed movie to be made is announced by film critic Taran Adarsh over his social media account. He made the announcement by sharing the information about the details of its direction and production. 

Famous director Aanand L Rai will be taking up the direction of the movie in his hands while the producers of the movie will be Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and Mahaveer Jain’s Sundial Entertainment. The movie is yet untitled and the other details have yet not disclosed by the makers of the film. 

It has been reported that Dhanush will be most probably playing the role of Viswanathan Anand in the movie as both of them can be related when we talk about the appearance. Dhanush has been a fan of the player and has been the first choice for Aanand Rai. However no formal announcement is made yet and also the details of the other cast are not known. 

Director Aanand L Rai is already working with Dhanush in a romantic drama Atrangi Re. The other cast of the movie are Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. It was the director Aanand L Rai only who introduced Dhanush for the first time in Bollywood in Raanjhana. If the report is confirmed and the actor is casted in the movie, this will be yet another time when they will be pairing up for a movie. Also this December 11, the world chess champion celebrated his 51st birthday.
