2011 Anubhav Sinha’s hit movie Ra.One which starred Shah Rukh as superhero G One. It was one of the first superhero films Bollywood witnessed. Along with SRK, the film starred Kareena Kapoor Khan in the titular role while Arjun Rampal was seen as the main antagonist. Ra.One also starred Shahana Goswami and Tom Wu in pivotal roles.
The film released in the year and since then there have been several reports making the rounds about the sequel to the film. Now the news is flowing filmmaker Anubhav Sinha has talked about the idea of a sequel to his superhero film Ra.One. Ever since the movie was out he had thought of taking the film ahead but none of the ideas had so far clicked.
He and Raees actor Shah Rukh Khan are always discussing about it. Shah Rukh, in a special video, revealed that he will come up with a better version to Ra.One sequel. Now, the director of the superhero film Anubhav Sinha revealed during an interaction about Ra.One sequel. He told in an interview “Neither of us has written it off. Shah Rukh and I keep talking about it. But it needs one catalyst. It’ll come either from him or me.
Then we will get started. Every time we both meet, we talk about it, let’s do this. But nothing exciting enough has happened so far.” He also added “I have given it a serious thought, maybe on a long flight. Where can it go, what it could do and the possibilities of a story. There have been ideas but none exciting enough for me to sit down and punch it in. So let’s see”.
Anubhav is currently occupied with his new release, Mulk, a courtroom drama a story of a Muslim family trying to reclaim their lost honour, featuring Rishi Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Neena Gupta, Rajat Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra and Ashutosh Rana.The. It is scheduled to release on August 3. While, Shah Rukh Khan is busy with Aanand L Rai’s Zero. The film also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in key roles. 'Zero' is lined up for release on December 21, 2018.
