42 Years Of The Legendary Movie – Doosra Aadmi

The movie ‘Doosra Aadmi’ released on 14th October 1977 recently completed its 42 years. Directed by Ramesh Talwar, under the banner of Yash Raj Films showcases love in its various facets-before and after marriage and the desperation to cling to memories of love. 

The movie showcases Karan (Rishi Kapoor) married to Timsi (Neetu Singh) who is a home-maker and somewhat kiddish. She gets doubtful when Karan starts spending more and more of his time with his colleague, the advertisement visualizer Nisha (Rakhee). On the other hand, Nisha had accepted the offer of employment of Karan because he resembled his late lover Shashi Sehgal (Shashi Kapoor). She comes close to Karan without knowing he is married. On realizing the truth, she deliberately tries to stay away from Karan, but he is not able to endure him and forces himself on the verge of losing his peace of mind. To amend her mistake, Nisha brings Karan and Timsi together again, clearing their misunderstanding.

In order to mark the occasion of 42 years of this iconic movie, the veteran bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor shared the poster of the movie on tweeter and thanked the entire team for their contribution on this project. He shared his view stating that this movie was a love story much ahead of its time and the perspectives of the characters shocked the people of then and today, so rampant in our society.

The superstar Rishi Kapoor also shared a throwback picture from the premiere of ‘Doosra Aadmi’ in the succeeding post to celebrate the special day. The picture had some legendary personalities – Yash Chopra, Rishi Kapoor and Ramesh Talwar, posing together.
